Glassdoor, the job site for job seekers, has just announced a new hiring spree, with more than 10,000 engineers now on board to help run the site’s technology-focused job marketplace.
Glassdoor, which launched in January 2016, has a strong focus on software engineering.
Since its inception, the site has hired over 20,001 software engineers.
The new hiring blitz is a direct response to the recent spike in demand for software engineers, according to Glassdoor CEO Steve Case.
In addition to hiring software engineers and other tech workers, the company is expanding its workforce, hiring software engineer mentors to help candidates and hiring software engineering mentors for hiring events.
According to Glasshouse, this hiring spree is a result of the success of the Glassdoor Talent Code and the growth of its software engineering community.
“Glassdoor has been able to hire developers and other talented software engineers because they are committed to building great software, with an emphasis on customer-facing and collaboration skills,” said Case.
“We have seen tremendous growth in our community and the amount of people using Glassdoor is steadily growing.
We want to thank our community for their dedication and help with our hiring efforts.
It is also a testament to the strong leadership that has been built by Steve Case, who is our CEO.
We are very proud to have worked with him, and look forward to bringing a diverse team of talent to the Glasshouse platform in the years to come.”
Case added that Glassdoor plans to expand its hiring for software engineering to include the software engineers that are needed to run the company’s cloud computing service, which is currently undergoing an expansion.
“We are always looking to hire the best talent to build the software that is needed to support Glassdoor’s business, and we are pleased to be bringing on additional talent to help us build a better software experience for our users,” Case said.
“As we expand, we are also expanding our workforce, so we are hiring more developers to help build Glassdoor and our tools, and continuing to build and grow our community.
We will continue to look to add to our hiring for talent, and continue to listen to our community to help guide us.”
